A BRIEF HISTORY: Birmingham Renaissance Man
During his tenure participating in what is known as the "BU/Birmingham Underground" creative community from 1995-2015, MJ has worked with, been affiliated with, and has performed in various capacities and stage names depending on the artistic medium or genre:
1995-2008, under the moniker "Orion Pax/OPX/Omnipax" of ANOM!LE Cru, as a conscious Hip-Hop/Drum n' Bass Emcee/DJ, composer specializing in Beatmaking, Electronica and remix production among/with local colleagues, Supreme (of "Shaheed & DJ Supreme") and fellow Emcee D-Ryan of Nerves Baddington...
2001-2016 with regional rave DJs The Majik City Junglists, DJ Ralph Lindstrom, Karen Day and The Harmony Network as "Emcee OPX/Seraph!M: DJ" of ANOM!LE/Rocksolid Drum n' Bass DJs, who always presented with a cheeky and energetic 'Punk Rock-meets-The 1950s' Mod(ernist)/'Rat Pack' vibe.
MJ also co-produced/Directed premier B'ham burlesque troupe, The Magick City Sirens in their "Sleep When You're Dead/SWYD" Gothic Industrial dance party event series from 2008-2012, also remixing hits for various artists and record labels in the Southeast and around the globe for the next few years while developing his own unique sound.

Since 2016, MJ has evolved into a visionary synth-wielding singer/songwriter (whose style is a knowing nod to Alabama music legend, Sun Ra) under his own independent global recording label and media network (STARSHIP Creative Network) who continues to fly his DJ decks like a spacy hypercruiser and still enjoys a good battle on them from time to time, to ultimately help his listeners escape the mudane by taking them on an extra-sensory journey onto empowerment, and to return them safely home.
